The Worst Kind of Renovation

Not all renovations can be classified as home “improvements”. In fact, there’s one duplex owner we recently encountered that took “renovations” to a whole new low by making a quick change to remedy a leak in the basement.

As you can see in the photos above, this duplex owner took a look at a leak and thought “Why fight it?”

Instead, why not route the water through a plastic tube, down the angled plastic piece, and into a collection area? Dumping out the bucket every once and awhile isn’t so bad.

In cases like these, there might be a few changes in order that will be necessary to make before the property is put on the market.
